Cubs

Last night some of my roommates’ friends were in from out of town, and everyone felt like going to see the chaos around the Cubs game. I’m not exactly a sports fan but I decided to check it out, after all, this is certainly something of a rare event. I went straight there from work, getting there a solid hour or so before the the rest of the group. There were lots of cops, and tons of people milling about. They had closed off most of the streets around Wrigley Field, so there was just a huge crowd surrounding the entire place. Bars would have big crowds stacked up outside as everyone tried to watch the game on the tvs inside. Huge cheers as the Cubs scored a run.. Then I watched the 8th inning, where the turnaround came. The play where a fan cost the Cubs a run was impressive.. And then the sense of the entire city being angry at this one person was palpable as the Marlins made their comeback in the wake of that play. Seven runs in one inning. Whoo.

Two days more and we return to Six Flags Fright Fest. Gotta get working on some of the new tricks that didn’t quite make it into the shows last weekend..
