Mardi Gras again
The second year of Six Flags Mardi Gras in Augus has come to a close.. I only juggled on the weekend this time, as my other job prevented a solid week of juggling. Saturday, it was Harper and me out there.. Instead of an open street-style performance, this year we found out at the last minute that the park had set aside an area for us to juggle in. We shared a “stage” (roped off area) with a costume act called “Those Funny Little People.” The sign by the stage listed all of their showtimes, “1:30, 2:45, etc.” and then at the bottom said “Jug O’ Jugglers 1:00-9:00.” We were filling in between their shows, with any format we wanted. We ended up doing usually two shows in each of our time slots. Object Challenge was really popular..people loved giving us their sodas, and one person even gave us his huge prize stuffed bear to juggle. That one didn’t quite work…
