Thanksgiving

So I’ve been sort of sick the past few days. Bleah. It started the night before Thanksgiving, an upset stomach. I threw up twice, had an unpleasant night with empty-hungry-stomach and upset-stomach fighting for dominance. Thanksgiving day I felt better, but not a whole lot. Rested a lot, and then went to Brian’s family’s house for the evening. It was a good time, the dinner was good, and I didn’t have trouble keeping it down. Friday I felt mostly better, until the evening when the upset stomach set in again. Today I feel worse, but I haven’t thrown up or anything yet, so that’s good. Certainly hope this goes away soon.

UPS

Our UPS guy is really cool.. Always very friendly and stuff. Harper is always getting packages, so the UPS guy and I know each other now, and whenever Harper and I are both home, we run down together to get packages. Today he delivered something while Harper was at lunch.. Harper passed him on the way in, and the guy said, “Your partner got the package already.” This is great! Our UPS guy thinks we’re a couple!

In other news, we are scheduled to perform at some party at a health club/gym place at the beginning of December. They can’t pay us, but they said they could give us each six month memberships, which are supposed to be very expensive. I’m excited to go act like I know what I’m doing in a gym now.. Coupled with that dinner for two I have waiting at 12Twelve, this business compensation for juggling shows is kind of fun.

Fright and Circus

So Fright Fest is over now.. Good times, good times. I feel pretty good about our future with Six Flags…but then again, I felt good about it last year and we almost didn’t get hired for Fright Fest this year. We’ll see.

This evening Harper and I went to see the Gamma Phi Circus put on a show at a northern suburb high school. It was a good show, apparently a rehash of their big annual show from last year. Pretty varied circus stuff, with lots of tumbling and gymnastics things. We had a good time, and juggled with some of the people afterwards. (Folks from this circus performed at Six Flags both at Mardi Gras and Fright Fest).

Unfortunately, I forgot that this weekend was the Quad Cities juggling festival! No good, that, so now we’re looking for all the other nearby festivals we can find. Maybe one in St. Louis..but that’s the same weekend as a really good juggling show up here. Hmm.
