Spring

An eventful week or two coming up here.. One of Harper’s friends from home is visiting us during his spring break. On Saturday night we went to see the movie Blade 2: Bloodhunt. It was similar to the first in that it was a bad movie, but fun to watch. Cool things: 1)the bloodsucking apparatus on the new species of vampire in the movie is cool as hell, and also scary. 2)Donnie Yen as a fight choreographer, and then as a character in the movie. 3)Danny Jon-Jules, also known as Cat from Red Dwarf, playing a badass vampire. Uncool things:1)the plot. 2)the dialogue. 3)Donnie Yen was horribly underused. I wonder if he doesn’t speak English, and that’s why he had no dialogue?

Saturday afternoon it was relatively warm out, so I made a go of street performing again. It was extremely windy. I could not juggle clubs at all, and at times the wind nearly prevented me from doing diabolo. Some punk had decided to play music in the spot I normally use, so I found another spot on Michigan Ave..still with heavy traffic, but less conducive to crowd gathering. At one point three college students came up to me and explained that they were doing a project on street performers, and asked if they could interview me and videotape it. I did the interview, and then they videotaped my next show. Another woman took pictures of me, and then explained that she was a photography student, still learning how to use her camera. Big day for students, maybe something to do with spring break..

Cornell College spring break starts Wednesday, and a friend of ours is staying with us for the break.. She’s even bringing another friend from San Fransisco..should be fun.
